Great little coffee shop with good music and friendly atmosphere. Make a point of visiting at least once when in Amsterdam. Recommended!

Small but nice. Less busy than the other Bulldogs which was a relief! Just smoked our last spliff before heading back to the airport.

After touching down in Amsterdam in the early morning I checked into my hotel and went to the Bulldog Rockshop because it was still early and they were open. Despite the fact that I am no stranger to the finer strains back home, as an American it was still quite an odd experience for me to ask for the menu for the first time, let alone smoke in public and not be treated like a criminal. Luckily for me the budtender, a beautiful lady of Spanish origins, was most helpful in choosing a strain (I had just gotten off the plane and did not want to get too fried just yet). For between 8-9 Euros the Northern Lights was a bargain, and as a person who is familiar with this strain I can assure you that the subdued yet unique scent proved it to truly be Northern Lights. The trichomes were all intact and covered the bud completely. The budtender was so kind and reassuring, and eventually the nervousness I felt from smoking in a public place (especially with a Politie right outside the shop writing a parking ticket!) had eventually subsided. A great place for an early morning smoke, as it can be quite crowded in the evening time.

Wheelchair Accessibility : Accessible. 4 White Widow pre-rolled for 12E. Total bunk, would not buy from there.

Being from the US, we liked this place. Mainly cuz we could also drink. We met a lot of other US travelers and stuff, so that was cool. The bartender was really nice and showed my man how to break up hash. Compared to the other Bulldog we went to (the Palace, yikes - big tourist trap), this was very mellow and prices, quality were good.

Top place, various music, nice window seat and good lager. Oh and we like it because my husband asked to marry him there in 2002.

The first joint I ever smoke, I smoke there. That was in 1995. At that time I must go there on every Amsterdam visit. (Like a turtle, when they're putting eggs in the beach). I was there about 10 times and more. I must say, the workers are very friendly. There only a small selection of weed and hash, but what they sell, serves the purpose (It make stoned).

I went to the Bulldog Rockshop coffeeshop 3 or 4 times because it was right around the corner from my hotel and next to the Hard rock cafe. Each time, I hoped that it would be better the next time. This coffeeshop is dark and dirty. the tables are crusty. The workers staired at me. The smoke wasn't hi-quality at all. If you consider this mc'donald's style chain good then you must consider fast food to be a cuisine. I give it a 1 on a 1-10 scale. Boo!
