Juicebar Hakuna Matata

Alas, it's still a Juice Bar. The owner told us she intends to petition the City Government each and every year for a Coffeeshop License. There's hope this year as there are new municipal elections, and the mayor is on her side. So we'll wait and see. Hakuna Matata continues to be among the friendlier establishments we've visited. Watched the NL vs. Czech Republic game here. Bummer when the Czechs scored those late goals. Anyway, this continues to be the hub of weed culture in Dokkum, with a local crowd of regulars. Dokkum is a gem of a town, and if you're looking to get off the beaten path in the Netherlands it should not be missed. Just bring your own stash. Also Hakuna Matata was able to secure an alcohol license in one week after deciding that they couldn't make it on juice and tea alone.

Small town charm... as friendly as Utoop, NOT a Coffeeshop, but where the locals gather "with their own" ...very comfortable there...patrons/staff conversant and friendly.
