Liberty

An Internet cafe now and not a coffeeshop anymore.

Now an internet cafe where you can smoke pot. They had trouble with justice and their licence was taken away.

Checked our e-mail while we smoked a joint. Not a big place, it goes out of its way to welcome the local university students. Gaaleet was running the place the day we were there. He's friendly, talkative, with a bemused smile. I could picture Gaaleet wandering by a harbor in Morocco in a late night movie, maybe sent to tell Bogart some important news. A charming place. Bring your stuff with you. Look for a Dutch blue sign saying "Liberty". Even the sign looks like it should be in a Bogart movie, kind of worn and cheerful.

Liberty no longer sells anything besides coffee and such, but still allows (and encourages) smoking.
