De Prijs

This was my first time in Amsterdam. I was really excited about trying some of their art supplies in there. However, I was travelling with my dad, who's not a real fan of taking drugs. Thanks to the discrete entrance that De Prijs has (at first sight looks like a small billiard club) I was able to get some Super super Polm. The girl who sold it to me was really nice and prescribed me just what I needed: a mostly mental and without paranoia high. I consider myself a bit of a weed connoisseur - hehe and this is one of the best pieces of hash I've ever had. Would recommend it 100/100.

Had a great time here. I'm 61 and soon tired of the commercial coffee shops in the heart of the city. I used to live here in the late 70's - early 80's and had a great time and experience. After spending many mornings and evenings in the Prijs, meeting the locals, the friendly staff, and great smokeables, my wife and I are looking into relocating back to this wonderful city. The prijs is a great place for the older smokers.

This shop is right by the Overtoom and it's ok. Weed is just normal (didn't try hash) and price is normal too. Sometimes you have a nice girl working there who is helpful and friendly. Other times you have cranky people working there. There is a pool table for the locals. The only sad thing I discovered was the fact they have a special smoking room to smoke in. Once you in there, it feels like a small isolated area and you have to share this space with everybody in the shop that is smoking. Some locals who are not friendly can take place beside you. It's whatever you like yourself. Not my thing.

Ever since I moved to Amsterdam, De Prijs has been across the street from me literally as I live on the Surinameplein and I really like this shop. All of the weed on the menu can be purchased at 4 grams for 24 euros and the service is usually nice. They also have a pool table, foosball table, cigarette machine, and a big screen TV. If you stop in try the Shiva weed.

It's a friendly little place with a pool table, kind staff, and the ubiquitous fresh-squeezed OJ. Not cramped, a nice relaxed place to hang out, smoke pot, and shoot some pool. I got a free pen there.
