The Zoo

Medium to large sized shop with about 50 seats including a kicker and billard table and an African theme with animal statues. Handy they pinned their new special offers of gear on that door you have to pass to enter the shop itself after the entrance *lol*. About five sorts of hash and I remember Puntjes, Honing, Hia (10€) and Choco (12€). Wiet: Mellow Mix (7€), White Widow (10€), Zoo Special (12€/g), S5 (13€/g), Crystal Haze (14€). I think they weigh up for you as I tried something off the Hia and Choco; former one with a nice classic taste and latter one Moroccan hashish with foreign genetics, dark creamy and also nice! While I think Liberty in town served some nice Moroccan hashish as well this here is the place for a bit more choice (also wiet looked ok enough) all together so definitely worth a look if you're in this cosy little old town.

The previous poster is absolutely correct about the face lift given this shop. The Zoo became our shop of choice during a recent 4 day visit to Zutphen. Nice menu, particularly for Haze lovers, friendly staff and patrons, pool table, large screen TV, plenty of board games, (including Risk), internet stations, nice library of reading materials, comfy couches, all in all a top shop that invites one to hang out for a while. 1.30 Looza, 1.60 KoffieVerkeered. They could lose the Last of the Mohicans thing though.

Since we're locals u can consider the Zoo as ''our'' shop. It's definitely a very nice shop. The other comment I read on here is before the redecoration. It's a much cleaner shop now, it's modern, good music and has a very nice staff.

A nice sized shop located within the centrum. The zoo motif is expressed by heads of animals and teddy bears etc. on the walls. Large communal table, and some rather ratty couches that made my travelling companions a bit squeamish (not sure if this was part of the Zoo motif or not). It would be easy to miss this one from the street if you're not looking carefully as there's no big sign to announce itself. Friendly enough, but I think if I'm in Zutphen again I'll be happy to just go to Plein 48.
